Bloganuary prompt: Describe an item you were incredibly attached to as a youth. What became of it?
Funny, just last week I remembered the alpaca vest I wore at all times when I was about 16.
Here is a picture of me (on the right) wearing it.

It was made in Bolivia (?) and I had bought it from one of our pop-up fair trade stores. It was warm and cozy, of course, it had alpacas in the pattern and it perfectly complemented the hippie image I was trying to project.
I remembered the vest recently when I was looking for a vest to keep my back warm in the winter. Unfortunately, this old picture I found won’t be enough for my daughter Amelia to knit a replica.
